- Laptop or Tablet PC
- Mobile Router (such as MiFi, to make sure you can reach the Internet and continue setup, even if the home Internet is not set up)
- Double-sided Tape
- Screwdrivers (including a small Phillips-head)
- Flashlight
- Power Strip with Surge Protector
- Labels and Marker (for labeling sensors)
- Hammer and Nails (in case you want to mount a system to a wall)
- Extra Batteries
- Wireless Router (in case they have Internet and a computer already plugged in, and they need a wireless router to allow the system to be added to the network)
- Ethernet Cable (in case they already have a router, and you need to plug in to it)
- Extra Sensors
- Extra Antenna (Z-Stick, etc.)
- Lamp Module (for Z-Wave installations)
Be sure to take notes during the installation, e.g. where each sensor is, so you can troubleshoot remotely.
