Activity Monitoring

Overview

Unobtrusive activity of daily living monitoring sensors or action buttons report wirelessly to the system located in the residence. Through the Care Menu, caregivers can log in to assess activity levels, pin-point specific problems, and determine alert rules.

Sensor Types

There are 4 different categories of activity sensors:

Sensors are all battery-operated and wireless. An antenna attached to the system receives the signals. During the initial setup of the system, the installer will pair the Resident's exact sensors to the system, and help set the ideal placement for the sensors.

How Do the Sensors Work?

You decide how many sensors to use, and where they will be located. The sensors report constantly to the system, which updates activity graphs every 15 minutes. Caregivers log in to the online care portal and see an overview of activity for the day. If you have particular concerns (examples might be: when the Resident is in and out of bed, or when the Resident is in the kitchen) you can set rules that will notify you when particular conditions are met. Notifications can be by telephone, email and text.

For more specifics about how to set rules and under what conditions, and what the graphs can show, please see the help pages for each sensor type.
